"Weekend on the Ranch"

March 6 & 7, 2010 (Space Available)

An educational event designed for those wondering about raising alpacas. Presentations will address everything you need to understand to make sound business decisions.  This program has also been helpful to existing breeders looking to take their operation to a higher level.

Get the Alpaca Advantage
Interested in getting started with alpacas. This is the event to attend to learn about the opportunities in raising alpacas.  The weekend workshop will feature presentations of the future of alpacas in the US and the industry worldwide as well as practical topics such as fencing, facility set-up, handling animals, nutrition, veterinary care and marketing.

"Weekend On The Ranch" is not at all like "camp" or a B&B. It is16 hours of “NBA” (nothing but alpacas) consisting of a combination of presentations, interactive discussion and hands on learning. Not only is it informative, it is also like "group therapy" to help you learn from others who are exploring their way into this interesting endeavor.

The weekend will start with an overview of the overall alpaca industry. Throughout the weekend we will cover everything we learned in developing a national, award winning, breeding program.

Perplexed about prices? Learning what establishes true value is just a matter of knowing what to look for.

Caring for alpacas is not as difficult as most newcomers fear. By the end of the weekend you will see why so many families have traded their curb and gutter for irrigation ditches.

Investing just a little bit of time with us this weekend, and you will begin to understand the value of quality breeding stock, be able to determine what is the earning potential of an particular animal as well as how to properly care for your alpacas.

We want to provide you with answers to your question to help you make a decision about taking that first step getting started with alpacas, then you may want to consider joining us for the weekend. Learn what 11 plus years of experience has taught us in managing our herd and business to be recognized as one of the top programs in the country,  Discover methods to achieve success in sales and show. Identify how you can avoid many of the common mistakes and misconceptions of new and existing breeders.
